I've always been a romantic at heart, obsessed with the quiet kind of love. The love that shows up in the moments no ones looking. Like the quick glances, stolen kisses, and comfortable silence between two souls.

Romance novels are a guilty pleasure of mine but nothing seems to beat the true love stories of those I meet. The way two people can find each other against all odds and under the most random of circumstances amazes me. Being able to capture part of that love story to pass on to future generations fills my heart with such purpose. Weddings are filled with so many of those quiet moments of love and it's a real shame most photographers miss that magic.

The grand moments are wonderful too; your tearful first look, your heartfelt vows, and the swirling of your dress on the dance floor. But I think it's those in between moments that make your love story so uniquely yours.

Hey There!

Recently we welcomed the newest addition to our family, Sterling. Watching Dylan become a dad has made me fall even deeper in love with him. He's so caring and devoted to our little boy, I'm incredibly grateful for the amazing partner I chose. And being a mother has been the greatest honor of my life. It's hard to believe that those two kids who were laughing at a baby cooing during their ceremony now have a baby of their own. Life just moves so quickly.

I married my high school sweetheart, Dylan, a few years ago and often think back to my own wedding. I remember the silly faces we made at each other during the whole ceremony. I remember the half hour we spent picking bugs out of the layers of my skirts. I remember the way Dylan couldn't stop looking at me. There's so much magic in these moments that I wish I could relive over and over. That's the gift I will work tirelessly to give to you.

Meet the Kotermans

For my Enneagram lovers out there, I'm a Type 9. I tend to listen more than speak. I bring a calming presence and prefer to stay in the background rather than be center of attention. At weddings this looks like someone who is calm amid the chaos and lets you shine on your day. I'm always there to hype you up and keep you in the moment. I come from a large family with 6 siblings and my parents fostered while I was a teen. I have a lot of cousins and am even close to a lot of second and third cousins as well. I know how to deal with large groups of people and I'm not easily overwhelmed by them. I love watching a variety of personalities celebrate together and have a blast. I get along easily with people because I truly value what everyone has to bring to the table.

About Me

A few more things

My faith is the thing that drives me most of all. I believe God created us all so uniquely special and I love celebrating that uniqueness. It's such an honor to capture God's most wonderful creation in all your unfiltered beauty. One of my goals with my photography is to show you just how gorgeous you really are. The way you laugh, the way you love, the way you dance around- it's all beautiful and wonderful and deserves to be captured. I'm so grateful God has given me an eye for the beautiful in the ordinary moments. And I work hard to continue to glorify Him in my business and work.

The two most important things in my life are my faith in God and my love for my family. As I mentioned above, I have a large family. This is the most recent photo of my parents, siblings, our partners, and my nieces and nephews altogether taken by my dear friend Daniela Rollin Photography. God blessed me with an amazing family and being an auntie has probably been one of my favorite roles in life yet. My sister recently sent me the videos from my wedding that she took on her phone. I see my sisters and I dancing with my dad, my brother popping the champagne at dinner, and all of us celebrating together. I can't stop smiling as I watch them. My heart is just so filled with love seeing all the people that love me surrounding me on the best day of my life. They continue to love on us and the love only grows as our family does.
